What is the Hazbollah?

Who are they? Why did they take 2 Israeli soldiers hostage? What precipitated the fighting between Israel and Lebanon and what does Syria and Iran have to do with it all?

If the headlines gave me useful information I would not have to ask now would I. Thanks for you ever so kind words.

Hezbollah, which means "party of god", is a militant islamic faction (which is pretty much a misnomer, because pretty much all of Islam would be happy to see the west destroyed) supported by Iran. It wants, as does Iran, the total annihilation of Israel. It captured two soldiers in an ill advised attempt to gain some leverage in negotiations.

Iran supplies these terrorists with weapons, mainly those missiles they are firing at Israel. It supports them in their efforts. Syria, which is next to Lebanon, has an interest in the latter being secure. It now sits idly by and watches Israel destroy the infrastructure of Lebanon when if it were to step in an oust Hezbollah, then the fighting would end.

This dispute is purely about hate. The arab world hates Israel, and the Jews, because they claim the land is theirs.

Here is the answer in a nut shell...
3000+ yrs ago, Abraham had a son with an Arab woman. The son was Ishmael. Several yrs later, his wife Sarah gave birth to a son, Issac.
When Issac was born, the concubine got upset that her son, Ishmael would not inherit Abraham's legacy, and as a result she was banned and left with the boy.
Ever since then, the Jews, or Issac's decedents and Arab's, Ishmael descendants have been fighting. Now, the state of Israel wants to rebuild the temple so Christ may return, and they can't because the Temple of the Dome sit on the site where it must be built and that belongs to the Arab Muslims...
Basically, it is brother fighting brother over there.

I just with they Arabs and Israel would really look at this post and see how stupid this is. I bet they don't even understand themselves just what started this damn thing anymore... No doubt they will come up with so much more recent stuff, but let's go back to the very start... Everything from there could work out if they would just realize the problem as it really is...

Its an imaginary group made by the jews and the christians to blame Muslims as terrorists. According to Israel this imaginary group has taken two soldiers hostage, they showed this news at world level but did they tell you about how many Palestinians people they have taken hostages as? The U.S.A took action at once to attack Iraq but is it ready to take action on israel to stop violence and stop invading more and more land? USA, along with British are targetting Muslims but no one takes notice of them. USA itself has nuclear weapons but it does not allow any other country to either make them or buy them (like Iran) for self defence. israel is trying to invade Lebanon and Palestine so it can make itself more power full and no one can attack him as Israel is. USA and British can stop the war but they are not even trying to because they want to eliminate Muslims from the world and be a self called peace makers.

Hezbollah is a Muslim extremist group dedicated to killing every Jew in Israel. Hezbollah is back to attacking Israel again because Iran told them to. It was timed to the G8 Summit meeting so the world leaders would talk about Hezbollah instead of Iran's nuclear weapons program.

Hezbollah is based in Lebanon so when Hezbollah declared war on Israel, Israel has to respond in Lebanon.

Syria and Iran provide money and weapons to Hezbollah.

Hezbollah is a glorious bunch of heroic resistants. Remember the last time they kicked Zionist gang out of Lebanon, armed with courage and faith in their noble cause. The Zionist bastards fled in disgrace in the middle of the night. They are loved and appreciated in Lebanon, the Arab world and the Moslem nation. They are of Shiite confession but they have been throughout
their relatively short history a fabulous inspiration for all Moslems, irrespective of their schools of thinking. Iran is a Shiite country and, as expected, they sympathize with their brothers in faith. Syria could only be affected by this new phase in the Zionist aggression, being a close neighbour and potential target of the zionist and imperialist coalition
