I also started young. I was a very young mother. Got pregnant when I was 16, had her when I was 17. I am still luckily very happily married to her dad and all my kids are also his kids (rare now days, I know) Marriage is ideal for sex, but realistically that is not always what happens. I would tell anyone that the only time they should ever consider having sex is when they are ready to be a parent, emotionally, physically and financially. Birth control is not reliable. It happens to everyone!

I was 18. I think it's a good age, because you have your head on right, you're out of high school, so you don't have to deal with the "talks" as to who it was and how many partners. And also you really don't need to deal with the consequences of sex. The fights and the emotional at such a young age.
If I had to do it again...I'd wait a little longer. So I could enjoy it even more.

I think when your resposible and can talk about protection and to your parents about sex. I was 16 going on 17 when I first had sex and he was my high school sweetheart but we changed when and now I am 26 years old and he's married and we still remain good friends and keep in touch he lives 2,000 miles away and was invited to his wedding.

A good time would b wen u r old enough to take care of themselves which would b at the age of 21.Especially when the job is stable.
