ME or EE

Depends on what you want to do. If you enjoy building things then mechanical or civil would be a great choice. If you enjoy chemistry then chemical engineering is an excellent choice (it also happens to have the highest starting pay right out of college of any major). If you enjoy electronics be an EE (but of course you can't spell gEEk with out EE). Or if you want to be a computer engineer. Each engineering field though has lots of fields and many of them overlap (ie mechanical engineers can go and do automotive or aerospace). So, look at the courses and then go for it.

Nuclear is HOT - and not just the reactions! I mean the job market in the near future is smokin'! If things go as planned/announced, the US will be building a lot more reactors and good engineers (of many disciplines) will be needed by the utilities, the reactor vendors (designers such as Westinghouse, Areva, GE), and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

Electrical Engineering is actually the more universal degree. You can get into many industries with that major.
