Just buy some RoundUp and apply it according to the label recommendations. You will probably need to make more than one application. This will definitely kill everything.
FYI, weeds will continue to come back. Weed control is an ongoing process. Weed seeds will continue to be blown in from other areas. There is a seed bank too in the soil, dormant seeds in the soil that will wait to germinate until conditions are right for germination.
More money is spent on weed control than any other pest (insects, diseases, etc.). As long as you keep on top of it, you should do fine!

I have 2 tried-and-true solutions. 1) boiling water poured on the weeds, it usually kills them if you can be sure it hits the roots. (And it's environmentally friendly!) 2) Vinegar. I also find that Ortho's Vegetation Killer works. But nothing works forever, even the Ortho only promises to work for a year.

salt and vinagar mix usually 1 gallon vinegar: 1cup salt
will kill any plant so be careful to just get the weeds
it does have an effect on the soil acidity so if you want to grow something else there you are going to have to add some peatmoss or organic matter to it
good luck

I think you'll find that a hoe is the cheapest and most effective weedkiller, chemical companies wouldn't agree of course :-)
