I'm affectionate when I wanna be, but normally I'm a pretty independent type of person.

Yes, I am. With my children, elderly, animals and my husband. My husband desires touch all the time. He was in a relationship where he cringed when she would try and touch him because he wasn't in love with her.
He needs my touch. And I am MORE than willing to give him touch.

I'm a very affectionate person. I hug my friends a lot. I make food for my family and my boyfriend without them asking. I like people. :D

If you are referring to hugs, hold hands, chatting and the like, then Yes, with any family or extended family member, friends, pets.
If it is a person I don't know or don't know very well, I will hug them if they initiate the hug.

Not naturally, I had to get into the habit of giving hugs to my family...mostly just my younger sister, she gets really insecure if people don't show her affection on a regular basis.

I try to be but it's hard to show it sometimes when I'm not sure if she wants to be with me. I guess I'm scared to be because of bad experiences in the past.
