If you mean how do you go and get tested you simply make an appointment with your doctor, in which case they would take a vaginal swab and simply send it off to test the swab for yeast and call you while later with the results.
It's pretty quick and easy.

Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:

Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

They have you lay down on the hospital bed, legs spread and they look with a flash light type of tool. Then he/she prescibes you a drug, Embarrassing procedure but you would be suprised by how many women a year get yeast infection at least once in their life. All woman will, if not now, sooner or later. I had it yearsssss ago when I was 12 years old lol. Ugh, i'm so glad that's over with haha. You can go to your localdrug store like CVS pharmacy or Brooks and buy yourself a yeast infection cream, something like Monistat Vaginal Yeast Infection cream, there are plenty creams to choose from once there. Some depends on how many days, some are pills, etc. Don't be embarrassed, it's a natural thing t go though, I survived mine lol. Good luck.

Two things can be done. Examination of the specimen on a slide under a microscope and a culture of the specimen to detemine species of yeast.

A vaginal swab is taken which is sent to the lab and looked at with microscopy.
A test can also be done when you get a smear (PAP) test.

It depends if the infection is just in your vagina, or if it systemic. If systemic I think they check your blood for antibodies or your stool for traces.
