So when you pass by, you don't get whiffs of smoke in your face. I personally dislike those public entrances and bus terminals that have dozens of smokers hangin around, and when I have to walk by I have to hold my breath.

I totallyl agree with you. But some times if I just sit down, i get it blown toward me. It's hard to keep getting my head below the smoke, before it gets closer.

Yes! Smoking is a personal choice and should be done in personal space. Not out in public because children, and adults that dont smoke have to inhale second hand smoke because of smokers and thats not their choice, Therefore non smokers are forced to smoke.

Outdoors is very different than indoors. I can deal with the smoking bans in restaurants and bars, I get it, but banning it from on the streets is ludicrous. Most smokers I know try to be considerate about it, not blow it on people, etc.

I dont think so. I dont smoke and Im not a fan of second hand smoke but I dont think private business owners should be told whether people can smoke in their establishments or not. Its their place, if they want people to be able to smoke they should. If non smokers dont want the second hand smoke they dont have to go in there.

I love how all non-smokers are like 'ban it completely' without even knowing how hard it is for smokers to just 'quit' and have to deal with not having a place to smoke.

That's wrong.

No, it shouldn't be banned ....maybe designate an area or something........ are you going to ban the stinky P.O.S. putting down the road in front of you? Or the school bus that takes your breath when it goes by? Some things you just have to deal with.

It is still a free country, I think. So It should NOT be illeagal to smoke in public places just because it makes some people uncomfortable.

I thought they weren't supposed to be within so many feet of any entrance? Its sucks, I hate the smell, but I don't really care so long as the air is open and I can pass by quickly.

No. I think it shouldn't be allowed within so many feet of a doorway so you don't have to walk through clouds of smoke to get in and out of a building. I actually think this is a law but obviously not enforced.

No

Even though it is not cool to have to smell the smoke smokers have rights too. If smoking is so bad then so is drinking so lets outlaw that too.
