My lifestyle. I went from being single to helping support him and his kids from a previous marriage. And putting up with his psycho ex.

Well I'm not married but I recently moved in with my boyfriend.
The biggest compromise I made was moving away from my home town. Which meant leaving the job that I loved and moving away from my family. I only get to see them about once a month now and that's something that is hard to get adjusted to.
It's funny how much we do...all in the name of LOVE.

After I got married....I lost a great male friend. My husband made my friendship with my friend a disaster. He ran my friend off, and he almost wanted a divorce from me. I am still not happy about giving up my friend, he made me feel so good, but I am trying to make my marriage last. I guess when you are married, you can not have it all. I really miss my male friend , but I really love my husband.

letting go of 'always being RIGHT' (i'm male). IMO, a relationship is about compromising all the time and putting love and respect ahead of 'having all the answers', correcting my partner, being superior, tougher, faster, wiser, and all the other destructive "better than you" behaviors/beliefs that my parents taught me.

I didn't have to compromise becasue me and my husband talked things out beforehand, and realized that we both had the same goals.
