Because people are willing to pay $10 a ticket to see them, or $4 a pop to rent them (Netflix notwithstanding).

Because with the success of some of the movies of the "Frat Pack" (Jack Black, Owen and Luke Wilson, Vince Vaughn, Ben Stiller, Will Ferrell, and Steve Carrell) like Old School and School of Rock, Hollywood wants to recreate their success by placing the same actors in slightly different roles with essentially the same character. The story isn't good, the supporting actors aren't in their appropriate roles all the time, and the jokes are crude and cheesy. Hollywood hasn't put out a decent comedy for a while, and they are fishing for success while trying not to pay too much for their bait.
And you get
My Super Ex Girlfriend
Evan Almighty
Old School 2
Talladega Nights
You Me and Dupree
Meet the Fockers
Starsky and Hutch

I think that's more of an opinion. They can't make great movies each, and every time.
