my permit expired on June 27, 2006 my birthday so is it necessary for me to renew the permit and then when I get my own car(cuz I dont like driving my mother's car) I can go for my license?
But I'm wondering if my permit has to be good, meaning not expired, for me to take the driving test to get my license?
Or can my permit be expired and when I'm ready to go for my license I can just take the driving test without having to take the test for my permit over?
(Do you understand what I'm trying to ask? I hope so.)

You need to renew your permit. Otherwise, you can't drive so you won't even be able to take your driving test.

dont wait to late u may need to call the driver license place cause at sum places they will make u retake the test. but when u go there dont let them no u drove there. u will get a ticket.
