78 F when home and 85 F when away. However, it really varies depending on how well insulated your home is. Some homes lose heat faster so maintaining 78 F might lead to a very high energy bill. For those cases, determine the minimum comfortable temperature in your house and set the thermostat to that temperature. That way, the aircon will only run when the room temperature goes below that temperature.

Mine is set on the HIGHEST SETTING!!!
