im working on a car that thg ground it shorted to an injector so it runs full rich its bad enoulf that gas drips out the tail pipe
olthough this isnt a spark plug problem it does act like one and has the fuel smell

Malfunctioning spark plug means that gas hasn't been ignited, so it might smell like gas. But on the side of the car? Probably not. The exhaust might smell more like gas, but if the SIDE of the car smells like gas, then there's probably a leak somewhere or you spilled it when filling up.

No! You probably have a leaking fuel line. If you have a bad spark plug the unburned gas will be burned in the cat . It will get very hot .

Not normally, the exhaust would smell stronger but not like raw gas. Raw gas smell is usually a leaking fitting or line.
