I though I would give you and answer from an "old dog".

My first job was working as a sacker/carry out person for a grocery strore. I got paid $1.00 per hour plus tips.

But - I make over $200 a weekend in tips and about $25 a day during the week. Small town... :)

My first job was for Barclays Bank in Manchester, England for whom I worked for 39 years 2 months and 13 days. I started on 1st April 1964 on an annual salary of £330. My first month's pay after tax and insurance was £26.7s.6d (£26.37p). Most of my friends worked as coal miners, Cotton factory workers or joiners getting about £4 a week. Because I got paid more I was regarded as pretty well off. I always seemed to have enough money to go out every night and buy almost all I wanted. In those days I could buy a made to measure Italian style 3 piece suit for £7, a pair of Chelsea boots for £2, a pint of beer for 6p, a three course restaurant meal for £1.25 and a three week holiday in Austria for £42. My first car cost £250. Cigarettes were 9p for 20 and you could buy three 45 rpm records for £1.00. A brand new TV (black and white of course) cost about £40 and a twin tub washing machine £39.00. You could rent a house for £2.00 a week and to but a three bedroomed semi detached house would set you back £3,000. To watch a Manchester United football game you would pay 5p to 15p depending on where you stood in the stadium. A cinema seat was 5p. You could buy $2.80 for £1 and petrol was 25p per gallon. A T Bone steak would cost 10p from the butchers and a large cabbage 3p from the greengrocers. A gas cooker was £20 and an electric one £25. If you earned £1,000 per annum you were rich.

Times seemed happier then with all the wonderful music from such as The Beatles plenty of work and the young respecting the old. Good days.

My first job was pizza delivery for Pizza Hut. I got paid $5.25 per hour but after tips (I was one of only 3 drivers there and so I got a lot of overtime) I would wind up making near $600.00 per week, not bad for a first job. And the work was great, hardly any actual work involved and I got to meet a lot of people. It is still the job I like the most of all I've ever had.

I worked at a messenger service entering orders for like $6.50/h. It was actually a fun job. It was good cause most teenagers usually start out babysitting or with retail. All the hot guys in my grade worked there too which was a plus.
