im building a pc and ive basicly installed and configured everything.. when i boot up the system, the screen stays black, the screen is fine and the video card is new, there arent any beeps and i can hear the fan blowing.. u know what im doing wrong??

It could be a million things. Make sure the hard drive slave/master jumpers are correct. Most harddrives will not boot up if the hard drive/cdrom drives have conflicts.

Plug in and/or turn the monitor on. :)

If that doesn't work, you should try having a boot-disk inserted.

At the very least BIOS should appear on the screen and you can config anything from there that you need to.

If your CPU isn't compatible with your MOBO you might have issues, but then again, you'd at least be able to see BIOS. Perhaps your MOBO is fried... that sucks...

This may seem simple but check to see if the monitor is plugged in and that the video card is fully inserted into the PCI slot. If that doesn't work try the monitor on another computer if you have one the monitor may be shot!

Also try reinstalling the monitor and video card software!

i think u must install new fan in ur pc and see that no wire is touching to the fan .
