I am almost 25 weeks and the baby kicks all the time, much more than my first child did. (And she is a relaxed, quiet and sweet child) Is this a sign of a hyperactive child. I'm not drinking more than 1 caffienated beverage a week, and the only sweets I have, besides the occassional bowl of icecream, is natural, like fruits.

Every pregnancy is different. You can't gauge how this baby is acting in the womb by the way the other one acted. Some babies are real kickers, and they come out just fine. My son was a heck of a kicker. He could knock pillows off my stomach at 25 weeks, and he is a happy, normal 5 year old today. Don't worry about it. I know you are sore, but just think of the happy baby in there having a good time!!

I think that your baby sounds healthy! Start writing down what you are doing when the kicking seems to be going on the most. You may notice a pattern and you may not; either way it will be a nice little keepsake that you can keep with the baby book! :)

My babies kicked me like crazy before birth & still kick like crazy at 8 & 9 years old! No Hyperactivity Disorder yet diagnosed, but they are clearly hyperactive! I really think that kicking mearly means alive & happy.

My son was way more active then my daughter. The only difference I have noticed so far is that my son hate to go to sleep. But he is good natured and he is always laughing and happy. I think that you don't need to worry about it. The one thing you want to watch is how much TV they in take. That has been proven to contribute.
Hope this helps

What to Expect covers this exact question and they said there's no correlation between hyper in the womb and a hyper kid later.
In fact, they said in subsequent pregnancies, you may feel more movements than you did in the first. It's normal.

No, that doesn't mean the baby is hyperactive.
It just means the baby is healthy and living.
