Well they both are great running backs but they both have uniqe running styles. Larry Johnson more of a power runner and hes fast and everything but he mostly pounds through first. LaDanian Tomlinson is more sly and slips through the line, and then uses his blazing speed to sprint into the endzone. So overall I believe LT is the better running back and has the best chance at MVP and also because they will run a lot more now that Phillip Rivers is running the show at QB. KC also has Trent Green who knows what hes doing and he has Gonzalez and kennison and hall to throw too. its not that SD doesnt have good recievers its just Rivers inexperience. LT is the better chance for MVP

I'm a Kansas City Chiefs fan and I'm still going to go with Ladanian Tomlinson..... just beacuse hes been consistant and is proven these past few years. However Larry Johson has just now emerged. I'm am also very curious to see if LJ will be able to do the same thing he did last year over a full season. But there is no doubt in my mind if Johnson can keep up what he's doing he'll be right up there with the NFL greats.

From what I've seen out of Larry Johnson, i think he'll be a special player in the NFL, but you've got to take LT. Tomlinson is the more complete back. He can run over you, run around you, or burn you as a pass catcher. Dont get me wrong, LJ will be great but for now give me LT.

LT has achieved considerable success in the NFL, rushing for over 1,000 yards in each of his five seasons. Other important career milestones include reaching his 50th touchdown in only his 4th season (60th game), receiving 100 passes and rushing for 1,000 yards in the same season (the first time this feat had ever been accomplished), setting the NFL record for most straight games with a rushing touchdown (18) and election to the Pro Bowl team in 2003 and 2005. Tomlinson's rushing touchdown streak also ties Lenny Moore's all-time record for consecutive games scoring a TD (18).
LT is more well rounded...but LJ can make a case for the top RB in the league next year...

I have to say LJ based on his performance last year as well as the 2000 yards he put up at Penn St. If Johnson had been full time RB for the Chiefs last year for 16 games he would have crushed the all-time rushing record for a season. The only real question is if he can actually break it as full-time RB this year? Tomlinson is a better reciever and all-around player, but as MVP and RB, Johnson will take it this year.

LT, nastiest running back to never get huge acknowledgment in college. Dude ran for 416 yards and 6 tds in one game at TCU.
He's the quicker, more slasher type of the two backs. LJ has good speed and hands too. Also has more size.
I'd take either or, but if had to pick one LT.

I'll take LT any day. Better all around RB, blocks, catches passes out of the backfield, great runner, and last but not least, he isn't a crybaby like LJ. LT is a team player that makes the rest of his team better because of his work ethic.

If Larry Johnson has the kind of season he had at the end of last year, he'll go off even more than Priest Holmes did, and that is big time points for your fantasy team.

fantasy football-wise, i'd go with LJ b/c he's still got that sick left side of the OL (Roaf & Shields)...
MVP candidate-wise, it's more likely LT b/c he's got no proven QB and he's going to have to contribute more to the Chargers, even though I wouldn't know how that's humanly possible!
