take it into a computer shop or PCWorld, they will tell you what it is and fix it if they can, but it is at a cost.
pcworld charge about £70, smaller computer shops about the same, so it may be worth weighting up you losses, and considering to get one new...?

Your best alternative is to go directly to System Restore, and choose the first restore date listed. Your system should over-ride any shutdown command as this is operating. Next, go to www.trendmicro.com and run their Housecall programme to eliminate the contamination and other downloaded spyware accompanying this.
After you have cleaned your system, open the System Restore files and delete the files, as this virus could be stored there as well. Then, create a new restore point once you are certain your PC is clean.

reboot into safe mode
delete this file "savedump.exe"
if it comes back turn off system restore
then repeat process
this has worked for me with other virus attacks
if works put system restore back on

download avg antivirus but do a live update first then delete all your other antivirus programs norton is crap and slows your system down run avg then reboot then run again

simple goto start run type in msconfig goto startup tab and uncheck all the bullshit things :-D that should work for u:-D
