Cuban liberals gave George Washington a huge loan of gold bullion with which to pay for a mercenary army to fight and win against General Gage and the British forces. When will the U.S. government repay the loan to Cuba?

Um, didn't Spain hold Cuba then? If so, I guess we should make that check out to them.

We did. Try a history page rather than a conspiracy theory or propaganda page. The loan was paid back under the presidency of Andrew Jackson to whoever owned the debt.

You really need to learn your history. In particular you should notice that the US came into existence about 125 years before Cuba did.

We have repaid it. We didn't wipe Cuba off the map during the Bay of Pigs.

We did when we FOUGHT the war that won Cuban Independance. Then they threw that gift away and went communist.

i say forget all the national debts. tell them to come and try to take what they think we owe out of our a**es. Whoever wins, dont owe jacksh*t.

i dont think they ever will, were very notorious for not repaying debt. we did it to the french too.
