I have a lot of respect for Isreal, but... Iran is in the perfect situation right now to become a nuclear power because Isreal and the United States are distracted with several wars of their own. Don't think for a second that Iran will back down. There are way too many countries supporting Hezbollah, Hamas, Al Quaida, etc; There's even evidence that Russia (A suppose US Comrade) fed information on US soldier positions to Saddam at the beginning of iraq's war.

That being said, I do think that Isreal can win againste Lebanon and the Palestinians, but if they thread on Syria or Iran, things will go sour.

United States can't afford to fight Isreal's war - Spreading a Military too thin is the biggest mistake the Germans made in WWII.

No, I don't.
Israel military infrastructure is strong and powerful. They technical and High Tech equipment is the best in the world. The biggest disadvantage is human resources dis-balance. I can imagine Syria and Iran stepping in, that can be really dangerous. In this case, when it will be even a slim Chance that Israel might fall, "the big world" will not let it happen. Why? Everybody needs Israel to exist and attract attention and forces of Islamic terrorists. With Israel destroyed, war will come actually to every country. Russia will have their 9-11 from Chechens, USA will get terrorist strikes everywhere, French will be wiped out by its Islamic militarist groups. Moderate governments in Turkey and Egypt will be overpowered. It will be the beginning of the world's end.
There is an old joke. Dying old Armenian, and all the big family is around the bed. He barely murmurs: "Save Jews. Please, save Jews." Everybody surprised: "Why so?"
"Just after they kill all the Jews, we will be next."
So, support Israel, if you do not want to be next...

The current situation is described accurately by you.

However, you're missing a couple key points.

A) If Iran is pulled into the war by Hezbollah, then the US will have to respond. However, they will not be the only ones.

B) Even if the US was alone, they would be able to actually hold a war on two fronts without too much difficulty. Although, the complaints from the US population would be astounding. :P

C) If it came down to outright war, Iran would be bombed into the dust. Unquestionably there would causalties on both sides, but I would predict the US would have air superiority within a couple of days. And that would be the end of the war (effectively).

Do I think Iran will do this? No.

I think Iran will move forward and break off at the last possible moment for leverage for their nuclear program. That's the only real way I can see them coming out of this situation ahead.

I used to feel sorry foe palastinians in 70's.
But as i knew more about the history and the evolving conflicts since 70's that Isreal is more powerful than all arabscombined.

Arabs tend to soar up support when one of their brother is beaten up by isreal , solely on the basis of ISLAM. Otherwise they are all totaly radicals unorganised, and are cut throats among themselves.

Isreal on the other ahnd is fighting for its survival inthe middle of all enemies.

Iran may have anuke, but they are the most radical, where religious leader rule with islamic sword.

The world will not wait to help isreal if Iran gets into direct fight with isreal.

I think the best thing for all Islamic conntries is to come to terms with rest of the civilized world , without the flag of their religion.
Follow the religion at their home and in their heart, and not in the battle field.

If one islamic country has a problem with its neighbour, the whole ISLAM is not in trouble, and all muslims should not have to support the wrong side.

No, I don't. Israel is not like every other country in the middle east. Israel did not attack the palestineans, nor Lebanon. Neither did they attack these cowardly terrorist, they were attacked, by these cowards. Now I believe that Israel is tired of fighting all the time, I believe they are also not going to lay down for anyone, and don't ever under estimate them either. There are several instances where countries did in the last 60 years and found out, that Israel is not to be taken lightly. Which comes to my main point. According to the Bible which I am a firm believer in, all this is going to happen. Look for Russia to make and even bigger alliance with Iran, and other countries in the middle east. They want a warm water port, and a establishment in the middle east, because that is the key to oil control, which controls everyones economy, especially ours. They will get together all for there own reasons and advance on Israel, but will never make it into the homeland, before being struck by THE ALMIGHTY HIMSELF, Check the news and see how, Russia is becoming more antagonistic towards us and Israel, the cheap remarks, trying too protect any one country who attacks Israel in any way. From vetoing sanctions to supplying weapons, by indirect means too Israels enemies. Well Russia and the alliance that is wanting too destroy Israel, will find out biblical truth. When GOD Himself, will protect Israel. But before that there is going to be a "Man of Peace" who will come and bring peace to the middle east and Israel, with a covenant for seven years, and break it at the half point, bringing war with him. I think that Israel will have no choice but too take out nuclear plants in Iran, maybe with our help, it is only a self preservation attack. Iran has made it clear that when they get nukes, they will launch them at Israel. Iran is nothing more than a country, lead by cowards. Every terrorists is a coward, anyone who attacks like they do is a coward. Hence the way all these terrorist attack, and the way Israel retaliates. Israel comes to the front door, these cowards try coming to the back, and then cry for peace after Israel retaliates, saying Israel is being too hard on them. If they would leave Israel alone there could be real peace, but it will never happen. Watch for the man of peace to come and put a temp peace, and declare himself god. Too find out what is going to happen just read the Bible, It's never been wrong yet.

Anyone who ever thought Russia was our friend were delusional. I realized things weren't all that when Putin went back to the centralized movement. No I think that Israel will be the victor in this, if not we are headed to WW III, and it is being directed by Iran, backed by Russia, China, and France. The divides are happening. This is pretty serious if it gets to that point. We just need to pray this calms back down. Of course if we lose and we are under a communist government we don't have to worry about the crazy radical liberals anymore. They will be in Siberia. Computers will have a security officer at every screen, guns will all be owned by the government, Mexicans will run like hell back across the border. You will no longer have choices in your career, housing, foods. People have no clue as to what they would lose if we lost our freedoms.

NO, Underestimating the power of Good over evil was the biggest mistake the Germans made in WWII. Making excuses to stay out of WWII, made it impossible to ignore the fact that we were allowing it to continue. A real man wouldn't make excuses while three bullies kicked and beat his friend.

And I trust our Military strategy won't resemble that of the German's during WWII. I guess you'll be rooting against the Allies again?

What do you mean America can't afford to fight Israel's war? We are footing the bill with over 100 billion dollars in military aid. United States and Israel go hand in hand. Ariel Sharon said in a 2003 speech " We are not worried what America thinks, we are not afraid of America, we control America". Enough said.

I agree with your question. Israel is too weak to at take to Iran or Syria. Iran have powerful defensive military equipment and a lot of oil. Iraq attacked to Iran 20 years ago and USA supported Iraq but they couldn't went on, but how can they attack to Iran that Iran have more power? hf Iran want to disappear Israel , they can, but Iranian government dint like do murder like Israel, dint like to kill innocent children, civilian etc. about Lebanon, hf they defense like 3days ago they can win the war.

Well Israel I think is fighting the US war too. We are at war with terrorist groups around the world, and the worst are at the doorstep of Israel.

That being said, I think that if it actually looked like Israel was going to fall, that we would use everything in our arsenal short of nukes maybe to prevent that from happening.

Iran is actually hurting themselves more with this I think. It would be much more likely to have countries wanting to limit their nuke activities, knowing that if they get them, the terrorist will have them in short order.
