All ants are issued with and expandable wetsuit by the Queen. Every worker dons one of these at the first sign of rain....Which I object to really,being a British taxpayer.

I know that when all dry ground has disappeared, the ants climb on themselves and form a little floating ball. The ball bobs and rolls on the water, and each ant gets their share of air before going underwater again.

We can only hope! But, I don't think so. We had a ton of rain this summer, and Yup, the ants are still around and the japanese beetles with a vengeance.

judging by what happened to me last month the smart little feckers take shelter in a fully zipped up tent 20 mins before the thunder storm hit. took me an hour to kill em all

I wish, my garden is full of them, I have never seen so many as we have here.
On Saturday we had giant ants all over the place. Yuk!
