I would go to a music shop that sells guitars. They should have some music in tablature form where it'll be easy for you to learn a song. Some advice, learn as many chords as you can, including barre chords. You want to be as versatile as you can. The more you practice the better you'll be, and the better your ear will develop. Eventually you won't need to look at music to learn a song, you'll be able to play it "by ear". Best of luck to you.....

Try ultimate guitar tab, or Tab crawler search engine as a point of reference for guitar music, as these sites have an exhaustive range of music for all tastes. 2 bits of advice. 1) choose something that you like playing..(when your learning, you'll play the same thing over and over for a while) 2) choose something that is within your range..(avoid anything by Satriani, Van halen for example)..or you will get disillusioned

Go to a book store and maybe get some song books, a great way to start making music and tunes.

Good Luck
