Houston Zoo, Natural History Museum, lots of museums in the fine arts district. The Water Wall (lots of weddings there). You are withing easy driving distance of Galveston and Moody Gardens (must see). There are lots of places and wetlands for bird watching. Just to name a few. Oh! And you have to have dinner at the Saltgrass at least once. The food is great, you get a lot (the cheesecake alone is HUGE).

You could go see a Houston Rockets game, they are going to be very good next year. Or if you like football go to the Texans game, and im sure they have a baseball team too.
