Im a White Sox fan but I cant deny the greatness of the Yankees Mariano Rivera. This guy is the best closer of all time in my opinion. Its rare in todays game, especially in the American league, to find a closer who can get the job done year in and year out for an extended period of time. If there is one guy in baseball who can secure a win when a team has a lead its this guy. I wouldnt want to be down late in a game and have to face Mo on the mound.

Is and always will be "The Mick".....you did not state "current" Yankees.....one of the "fastest" (2.9 to first from the left and 3.1 from the right side) long ball hitters to have ever played the game and probably among the most collectible (value) signatures to have ever played the game...."The Mick" and "Jolting Joe"DiMaggio are about the closest to my favorites.....never saw Ruth or Gehrig play or Joe for that matter but anyone that was married to Marilyn Monroe had to be one of the greatest........Mantle and Dimaggio are my favorite Yankees!!!!

When you are a Red Sox fan, there just is NO SUCH THING as a favorite player on the Yankees. Not one!! And, I am a Red Sox fan. Therefore logic dictates that I have no favorite player on the Yankees.

Chow!!

Would have to be Jorge Posada. He came up through the system, has 4 rings, and manages the pitching staff. He is also playing with a torn tendon in his knee, something that would sideline most ather players.

DEREK JETER. He catches so much crap about being overrated and not that good. but all that dude does is come up big in big games and shines brighter than others. He has a lifetime average of .316 and scores over 100 runs every year.
