WOW I had this for 4 weeks with dizziness.
Best thing I did was to to take Mucinex DM @ Wal-Mart if you have a cough as part of your symptoms.
I hadn't got sick like this in 20 years I always took Echinacea @ Walmart at this first sign of getting any kind of cough, sneezing, sore throat, ear ache. And bam it was gone in 24 hours. However this bug has taken a lot of people to the hospital here where I live. There is 2, one is a 24 hour virus, the other is a flue bug.
I had the flu bug.
Drink lots of fluids, soups if you can, sleep rest and you will have to ride it out just as my Dr. said I had to.
If you think it is worse go see a Dr.
I sure hope it is not what I had. I hope you feel better soon.

Robitussin is wonderful for stuffy nose etc. At night a warm mist humidifier (make sure it is warm mist) in a closed off room will do wonders. Bottle of nyquil will definately help, but will make you drowsy.
If you are wanting non-medication help: a warm steam bath will be great. If you are over 21, the old Whiskey mixed with honey really does work.

heat, heat, heat. That always helps clear it up. Take a hot bath or shower. Take some medicine, Mucinex is good for nose stuffiness. Get plenty of rest. Have someone baby you for a while. You are probably overdoing it.
I have another solution...... I can tell you all about it, if you are interested... ;-) I really hope you feel better.

I'll fix you a bowl of my famous tomato soup, with cheddar cheese, crackers, and lots of pepper. I want you to eat all of it. Then you'll sip on this glass of Jack and Coke, while your soup settles, and we cuddle on the bed watching old reruns of Saturday Night Live. When you're relaxed, you'll need to take a couple of swigs of Nyquil, and huddle up under the covers, so you'll go to sleep.
Tommorow morning, I'll fix you scrambled eggs and biscuits with gravy, and orange juice. Here, take this VItamin C, and Zinc, okay?
Now...are you going to try to go to work, or would you like to stay in bed all day?
