I own a small company and a client owes me a remaining balance.
Is there a specific amount of time I have to place a lein in the state of Connecticut?

Your best bet is to call a local attorney for advice. There may be other alternatives an attorney could suggest that may be more effective and less costly.

You need to make sure that you have in writing that you have sent them at least 3 notices of failure to pay.
I found this site to be helpful in asking legal questions and it is free:

Good luck!
