Her day doesn't start, no breakfast, no running out the door until:
1. The bed is made
2. The dirty clothes are in the laundery room
3. She throws away, puts away or puts in a Give Away box 10 things.
Do it EVERY day.
So easy! 2 minutes while you stand there watching.
Good luck!

Unfortunately, there's not much you can do. My daughter is the same way. She is 18 now and nothing has changed in the last 10 years. I've done all of the things you have and nothing works. 2 years ago we bought her a beautiful new bedroom set with a sleigh bed and armoire, and she promised she would keep her room clean...it lasted less than a week. Last Saturday evening she went out to a movie with friends. After she left the house I went into her room and gathered up cups, glasses, dishes, paper plates, candy wrappers, coke cans, and silver ware that were just laying around. I get so mad. But, it's her choice to live in that mess. I've learned after 10 years or so of yelling and punishing and bargaining, etc. she's not going to change.

do you wash her clothes?? if so stop make her wear dirty clothes .... also do u wash her dishes if so stop! tell her if she cant wash the dishes she eats off of then she wont have any dishes to use also ban dishes from entering the bedroom.......does she invite friends over??? if so u could tell her you wont allow friends to come and see the disaster.....if you give consequenses on the things she leaves dirty she may learn that in order to eat... wear clean clothes..... have friends over ect....she may decide hey maybe i should do this or have to lose out on stuff..... if that doesnt work u can slowly take away other privlages such as the telephone ...tv........ if all else fails take her bedroom door off(we all know how girls need there privacy).........and take a picture of her room and post it on your refrigerator! and imma sugest that after your child is old enuf to clean up after themselfs DO NOT CLEAN THEIR ROOM!!!!!!!
i had a problem with my 5yr old and the clothes thing he now picks them up because he REALLY likes clean clothes lol
Hope u can stop the tornado....... good luck!!!!

I am a grandmother who has raised two generations of children.
The one I am raising now is my 10 yr. old granddaughter. She is the same way. I explained that if she cannot take care of the things she has she will get nothing new to take care of. Her answer was so. When she came home from school she found her room clean but she did not realize all items were packed away. She gets nothing new and she had to earn back whatever I took away. Works like a charm

Explain to her that families involve give and take and try to stay calm, because if you yell she will probably feel less inclined to do as you ask. If she doesn't do it, start refusing to do her favours - no money for the movies or something. As she grows up she should begin to view hygiene as something important not a chore.

have u explained to her some of the health risks of living in fealth it's always good to break her while she's young you are the parent you need to enforce the rules if that's what it takes for her to be punished all of the time so be it maybe you can pay her to keep her living areas clean i guess try to make it fun for her

Ask if all her friends rooms are messy or bring her friends over when she's not expecting them and she'll get embarrassed.
