Can I use left over hardy board to replace the base of my dog house?

I had some left over from a house project.

Yes, but it is really heavy stuff. They have a website and a contact customer service where you can ask for advice on using it for that purpose. We just used it on a shed and they recommended leaving expansion gaps. You may want to check if you would need to as well. Another hint, use screws. It is really hard to nail into.
