Channel 4, because they have a forward thinking programming policy, with many great films and documentaries too.

It's a tough decision though, and BBC1 and 2 come close... BBC1 for the strength of its documentaries, and Jonathon Ross :D

If I wanted to watch lots of films, Channel 5 would probably be my choice.

I could live without ITV though, it's fairly bland for the most part.

I would watch BBC one because :

There are shows such as 'Eastenders' for those who enjoy soaps.

There are children's programmes at suitable times i.e in the morning before they leave for school and just after 3.00pm when most finish from school.

Charity shows such as Sport Relief which is on right now. Money is raised and lives changed.

Game shows that challenge both the contestants and the viewers.

Documentaries for those who like factual programmes.

Crime watch - more criminals would be caught and justice would be served if more people were to watch this show.

There's no annoying adverts.

There's also the news which is given in an unbiased and informative manner.

Basically there's a wide variety of programmes for all viewers of all ages and 'something for everyone' as they say.

Channel 4 beacause of:
The Hoobs
Dermot & Russell on Big Brother
Peep Show
Documenteries on Cheese & Badgers
The Album Chart Show
Justin Lee Collins
Lost & Scrubs & The West Wing & Charmed
The Vorderman

Best of all - no Ant & Dec

The argument breaks down the moment you mention Hollyoaks.

Shocking I know but it would be Channel 5 because :
Good American imports eg House, CSI (multiples) Good movies. Some interesting documentaries and cheap Tat.

Channel 5 hasn't been pidgeon holed like the other channels so can broadcast any old rubbish that makes evenings in entertaining.

That's a tough one. Probably Cartoon Network mainly for Adult Swim, but then again I love BBC America and the Scifi channel, too. As intellectual as that sounds, I don't really like watching the news since they love reporting all the horrors of humanity, and I'm not really a big sports fan, so there you have it. Cartoon Network for me, I'm just a big kid and like living in my world because everyone knows me here. ;o)

I'd rather watch channel 0 - the static fuzz is usually more entertaining! If I really must choose one it would probably be BBC2 because they have the odd unusual programme worth watching

PBS. Antiques road show.

However, I have already put my television away, and I'm doing just fine with internet, netflix and library books. This way I have better control over what advertising I have to watch.
