Is it possible to not have a period, just a yellowish-y discharge? I've been to the doc, and he says it's not anykind of infection; he's tested me 4 or 5 times. What is it? Could it be BV? What are the symptoms of BV? It also smells like vinegar.

a pregnant woman or woman in menopause will not have a perioud. Why not go back to the doc. A vinegar smell? Have you been using vinegar. I think BV smells really bad fishy I think. Yeast is another thing. Go back to the doctor perhaps it changed to something else. If it is yellow it sounds like some sort of infection. Usually no ifection is clear. Period is usually a brown, red or dark brown discharge. Can you try a different doctor?

I would go to another doctor and get another opinion..a discharge is not your period..BV which is Bacterial Vaginosis is just a overgrowth of bacteria that is normal in the vagina and the causes vary from douching, soaps, hygiene sprays, silk panties, and often it is never discovered just treated..some women seem to have it more often than others..and Flagyl is the treatment..I would still get another exam..

I don't know what BV is. If your body weight is too low you can not have a period. Stress can do it too. Did your doctor warn you about thongs and nylon/rayon panties?

i am only a male, but as i have experienced, yes, women can miss their period. it can happen because, well, they are pregnant (hehe). it can also happen because of a lack of nutrients (gymnasts, anorexics, bulimics) in the body. it can also just happen inexplicably. hope this helps. as for bv, i'm sorry, i have no idea what that is.

If you are taking any drugs or anything that could change your period then, yes. You could possibly be pregnant but who knows.

It's obviously possible, but it's not normal. I would seek a second opinion from another doctor
