Kel Johari Rice Mitchell , an African American actor (born August 25, 1978 in Chicago, Illinois) is the middle of two sisters. He attended Santa Monica College in California with his best friend, Kenan Thompson. He began acting as young as 13, and was first known as an original cast member on Nickelodeon's All That from 1995 to 1999. He and co-star Kenan Thompson had their own spin-off Kenan & Kel which ran from 1996 to 1999. A 1997 major motion picture, entitled Good Burger, was made out of one of their sketches.

Mitchell has remained active in television, motion pictures, and voice-over work. 1999, he starred in the movie Mystery Men as Invisible Boy. He once appeared as a co-host of the dance competition TV program Dance 360; however, the show was later cancelled. Kel is currently the voice for T-Bone in Clifford the Big Red Dog on PBS Kids. He has also appeared in episodes of the American series One on One. He also appears in Like Mike 2: Streetball, Caught On Tape, and Platonically.

Family
Mitchell married Tyisha Hampton-Mitchell on October, 16 1999. He is still married to her today, with two children. Their names are Allure and Lyric.

Rumours
It is rumored that both Kenan and Kel are working on a sequel to the cult classic Good Burger, with a possible release date of 2007, but those possibiltites have been cut short.

There have been a number of rumours circulating the Internet that Mitchell is dead; due to his work in current shows, this is clearly false.

i think it's like the mark paul gosselaar rumour from a few years ago, that he'd died on a plane. these people always turn up in an episode of csi or without a trace.

the cynic in me would even say it's a publicity stunt on behalf of whatever new movie they're coming out with. but i'd never be so harsh...

There is also a rumor recently that Kel has died. This seems to start from a Myspace bulletin. This is currently unconfirmed.
