Does a fielders choice count as an at bat?

yes, the only things that don't are base on balls, hit-by-pitch, catcher's interference, and a sacrifice (fly or bunt).
and to clarify based on postings after mine, any error still counts as an at-bat. example: there is a pass-ball (the catcher misplayed the pitch) and you swung and missed it for strike 3. you run and make it to first to first base (only if first was open, ie, there wasn't a player already there before the play). you will be credited with having struck out in that at-bat.
again, the only "unoffical at-bats" are caused by walks, sacrifices, catcher's interferance, and hit-by-pitch. everything else is an at-bat.

Some conflicting information in these answers that should be clarified:
1) A sacrifice - either fly or bunt - isn't an at-bat.
2) Reaching on an error DOES count as an at-bat.
3) Nobody mentioned another play that doesn't count as an at-bat, and that is reaching base via catcher's interference.

Yes. The only things that are not at-bats are walks,when you get hit by a pitch,when you reach on an error (NOT hit+error.),and a sacrifice bunt or fly.

as long as he went up to bat and swung that bat of his and hit the ball its an at bat unless the only time when its not an at bat is when you walk then thats not an at bat

I believe it counts against the batter's average like making an out.
