You are ready when you are 1) in love, 2) able to make the decision and ANY consequences than come with it. I don't agree it's the last step into woman hood (I am not a parent though). Womanhood is being mature, and able to make responsible decisions. But I'm only 17! : ) So don't go running to you parents and saying they are wrong. But, if your asking because you want to become a woman, then don't' have sex. You need to be able to make a good decision first. And if someone is askign you to have sex, and you don't know for sure, then don't have sex. another part of womanhood? Being able to say no, and back it up. (With a kick to the groin if need be... ONLY as a last resort! : ) )

how old are you first? my sister is 16 and is now pregnant because my parents phrased that same statement wrong, they told her that when she had sex, she would be a complete woman, so she had sex with her boyfriend and is due in 4 months. Don't have sex until you are ready and with the right guy, my sister's boy friend wants to leave her because he says he is too young to have a child. So be careful!!! and you will know when the time is right to have sex, don't let anyone tell you when to do it, you will know!

You are ready when you are able to take on all the responsibility that goes along with it, like pregnancy. Could you mentally and financially take care of a child yourself? What if you got a disease? What if the guy left you after you did it, could you handle that? These are just a few questions you could ask yourself when considering if your old enough for sex.

When your married. God gave us sex as a gift between 2 people who are connected through wedlock and tuley love each other. They will be each other's only partners in life. Sex is not meant to be with just anyone, it is special and should be saved for the person you spend the rest of your life with. If you ever want to talk about God or anything of that sort then i am here! :] hope you make the right desicion.(sp?)

Trust me- u will absolutely know when its right for you! Your going to meet a guy who makes you feel so safe and so secure. A guy who makes u feel special-loved and wanted! A guy who gives u goosebumps each and everytime he looks at you! You will not be able to think of anyone or anything other than this guy!!!! You will be madly in love with him! That is when u will know its right! Never settle for 2nd best! First time sex is always much better with someone u love and care about! Otherwise it can be pretty bad! Good luck to u

That's not necessarily true. You don't have to be a mother to be considered a woman. What a stupid answer.
If you have to ask if you're ready for sex, then you're too young to have sex.

when you are ready, you will know. you shouldnt have to ask anybody unless you arent ready. sex is something you shouldnt just pass out. you need to save it for the right person.
