the 1st round qualifiers of the UEFA Champions' League is now underway & later this month & next month will be the 2nd & 3rd round qualifiers. from the 3rd round qualifiers, 32 teams left will play against each other to secure the 16 remaining places for the UEFA Champions' League group phase which will starts in early September 2006.
the new season of the English Premier League will begin on Saturday, 19 August 2006. on Sunday, 13 August 2006, there will be the traditional curtain raiser, The FA Community Sheild featuring the Premiership league champions & the FA Cup champions, Chelsea & Liverpool. the match will be played at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.
the new season of the Spanish Primera Liga will starts in about 2 weeks after the Premiership season has began (it is still uncertain but usually the Spanish league will starts later than the Premiership).
