Nobody expects the goalie to save a penalty kick, so relax and commit yourself to one side or the other.
Steps:
1. Stay loose and limber as your teammates argue the call and the referees get into position.
2. Watch the shooter to see if she seems to be looking at a particular corner.
3. Determine which foot the shooter kicks with.
4. Decide which corner you're going to dive toward before the shooter approaches the ball.
5. Align yourself in the center of the goal on the goal line.
6. Wait for the whistle signaling the start of play.
7. Dive to your chosen corner with your arms completely extended the moment the shooter touches the ball.
8. Knock the ball away from the goal.
9. Get to your feet immediately after you save the ball because the game is live once you touch it.
Tips:
The rules state that the goalie must wait until the ball is kicked before moving, but most goalies will move before. As long as it's not blatantly obvious, referees usually allow goalies a quick step.
Commit yourself to the dive. As a goalie, you can't be afraid to throw your body around.
If the game is being decided by penalty kicks, the ball is dead once you save it or once it's in the net.

The hardest part is guessing where the ball is going to go. You have to watch the kicker closely, and judge where it's going to go by the way he kicks it. You only have a fraction of a second to decide. You might be able to make a note of how that person kicks penalties and learn from it for next time. You probably saw the World Cup recently with its penalty kicks. Even the best goalies in the world guess wrong most of the time.

I have been a goalie for a long time and I know how hard this is. First of all, don't feel pressured at all. Nobody expects you to save it. Just relax and take a few breaths. Stare at the shooters hips to try and determine which side he is shooting for. If a right footed person's hips dont turn, he is shooting for the right corner and vice versa. Dive as far and as quickly as you can. If you dive too far you can always save it with another part of your body.

is easy to save a penalty shoot when you know who is shooting if is one of your frineds then you have to know how is he shooting and if is not one of your friends when he starts to run to the ball you make 1-2 steps in front and try to see where the ball is going and try any solution to stop the ball if is necessary jump and hit you try to use your hands and your legs if you are scared by the ball the is better to left somebody else to try to save

1. relax.
2. look at the shooter.
3. remember the shooter should be nervous bcuz the pressure is on them. the distance isn't too far. enough for them to choke
4. try to have quick hand and eye coordination.(in other words play video games!) if you see his feet towards a certain direction try to dive their.
5 remember, don't be scared of the ball.
6. good luck
if it doesn't work ask lehmann or ricardo

By all means don't save it. That is usually the only time someone scores. So let it go so the game will finally end. Soccer is so boring. Here is one why don't you say how do I save paint from drying or how about this one How do I save the WNBA? No one cares about soccer like no one cares about the WNBA!

watching the player and the ball. It also can help if the player is right or left foot. Stand up in the center of the goal and watch the lips of the player if the lips of the player go to the left he shoot to the right but if he is right foot, if he is left foot is the opositive.

I'm a goalie and i say relax because if you show tension the know you are more capable of watching the ball go in if it does.So if you show your relaxed you intimidate them and the pressure in them kicks up and they are more tending to miss.
