The movie is set in the future, in a "big brother" kind of world. The main character is a man who is a member of the "thought police" and the movie starts out with a raid of a secret stash of the few remaining works of art in the world including the Mona Lisa. The movie features many scenes with the hero doing a kind of martial art which incorporates hand held guns, and there is a cool sword scene at the end where the bad guy (big brother)'s head is sliced off diagonally with a sword that the hero grabbed off the wall of the guy's office . I'm pretty sure the title starts with E and is one word...help?

It's "Equilibrium", with Taye Diggs and another well known young actor.(maybe Christian Bale?) The style of martial arts they use with guns is called "gun cata".

i saw it a couple of weeks ago and cant remember the name
thanks now i will be op all night trying to remember so i will have to keep an eye on the other answers to find out it was a good movie though
