First off, not the iPod. The audio quality isn't great. The screen supports a low amount of colors and scratches slow up constantly. The iPods are have practically NO FEATURES, have poor battery life, and are overpriced. Did I mention they're made
in sweatshops?

In response to the above poster, Music, Video, Pictures, Games, Shuffle Mode, Individual Playlists, Speaker functions, are on all MP3 players. The things the iPod lacks are FM radio, FM recording, line-in recording, video (on the Nano), a screen (on the Shuffle), dedicated volume control, and a customizable background.

Have you TRIED another player? How would you know about the quality?

Now, on to the suggestions.

For low storage, go for the iRiver Clix. The best flash player, BY FAR.

It stores 2GB (about 500 songs), views photos, plays video, has an FM tuner, FM + voice recording, and the battery lasts 19/20 hours before you have to charge it. You can download games onto the Clix, too.

It's got a cool design. You press the edge of the screen to navigate. Click screen. Not AT ALL like the iPod.

The best large capacity player is the Creative Zen Vision: M, HANDS-DOWN. It's customizable, and has a great screen along with a wide range of features and solid battery life.

apple ipod, dell mp3 player, napster mp3 player

Most people will say apple ipods are the best, which in some ways are true. If you want a mp3 player for just music then dont buy a apple ipod. Like the others i listed above dell and napster will do just fine. But if you want the extra features like video, picture capabilities then go with apple.

Here are a few links

Apple

Dell

Tips for keeping your mp3 player safe

I would recommend buying a suit but if not do not buy a black ipod, the damages are more noticable than on a white one.

Hope this helps

iPods are the best. Creative products are just cheap competetors and copycats. If you really look at the design of Creative products you see that it is very similar to the iPod, that there design is just a spinoff of what iPod has mastered. iPods are the best because of there sound quality, screen quality, video quality... all better than any other mp3. People have been thinking more about price than quality. And even though the iPods are more expensive, the quality is worth it. People who answered your question said that the iPod has limited features- i beg to differ. Music, Video, Pictures, Games, Lyrics, Shuffle Mode, Indevidual Playlists, Speaker functions.. that seems like more than enough to me.

FORGET IPOD!!! I am buying an iriver clix. It has 2 GB but the screen is amazing and it's only $200. Who really is going to listen to 10,000-15,000 songs on an ipod?

Dell DJ
you can use them with a lot of music services that you can't with Ipods like napster and yahoo music. I've had mine for a year or so and absolutely love it and they're affordable.
