I am thinking about getting a smooth-haired guniea-pig, but i want to know if they bite, becuase they are soooo big and if they do, i will just forget about it.

they have the ability to bite yes. they usually don't bite though, they are very gentle non-aggressive animals, if you have the smell of food on your hands or your hands might look like food to the guinnea pig, theyt might try to take a nible but the teeth are very small and just feels like you touched a sharp corner of metal or something, i haven't had any blood drawn from mine. they are excelent gentle pets. they love to just sit in your lap and be rubbed. i would suggest that you get one if you're intrested in a nice pet that is fairly low work, and that you can just hold whenever.

I used to work at a pet store and yes some guinea pigs do bite. if you have ever been bit by a hamster that is close to what it feels like. They are still wonderful animals and pets to have. And can be very tame.

They usually don't bite to be aggressive. They are inquisitive and love to eat, so if you put your finger in front of their nose they sniff it to see if it's something to eat. Then they will go forward to nibble it. I've had LOTS of piggies and they were all very friendly. They would much rather run away than defend themselves. They are not like hamsters, which will run up to you and bite. I've never gotten nibbled hard enough for it to hurt, I just pet them betweent their eyes where they like, so they don't mistake me for a carrot!

No, I had one and he didn't bite, they just kind of nibble, looking for something to eat. They aren't big, you can hold them in your hand. We call them whistle pigs. Mine used to whistle whenever I came home. He was a great pet.

Yes, all wild animals bite. Most domesticated animals bite.

I have had them all my life, and theyve never bitten me, but anything with teeth can bite and will if they feel threatened
