It is hard to tell if a girl is a virgin through a pap because the only sign is if the hymen has broke, which could have happened while she was using a tampon. I don't really think there is a way to tell.

In a routine exam, the gynecologist can see that your hymen is stretched possibly broken (however, this can also happen if you use tampons)...
If you are sexually active, you should probably tell your gynecologist cuz that way she can help you out if you're having some kind of problem in the future, or she can prescribe birth control, etc.

If you don't want your parents to know, find out about the confidentiality laws in your state befofe you get the exam.

As for the virgin thing, most people consider that once you've had intercourse, you are no longer a virgin. Sometimes a girl may lose her virginity to a rape case, in which case she is technically no longer a virgin, but a lot of them consider that they still are since they did not willingly lose their virginity (if that had been the case for me, I would have done so). I wouldn't consider simply the fact that the hymen is broken or streched as having lost your virginity, like I said above, it could be the use of a tampon. And extending that, maybe it was stretched without sexual intercourse or a tampon, possibly from some hand action ... and that is not considered losing your virginity.

Yes, they can tell if your not a virgin by PAP testing.... there is a small section of skin that tears when your skin is pulled to tight. When they do a PAP they ask you if you have had sex, so they know what size tools to use. Yes, you can lose your virginity without having sex, if that skins tears your not really a virgin anymore. But a lot of people would argue that you have to be penetrated by a penis to lose your virginity, and that's just not true. It says in the dictionary you lose your virginity by having sex with a penis but as long as that skin tears it doesn't matter what it is going in you. So I hope that answers your questions.

You can't tell if a girl is a virgin by a pap test. You can only tell by evaluating whether or not her hymen is intact.

And even if it isn't, it doesn't mean she's not a virgin. The only way to know for sure is to ASK HER.

u can never ever tell wheather a woman is a virgin or not..it is state of mind..thats all the hymenium which is said to be the barrier testifying virginity can be broken under excesive physical exersion other than sex..that way that woman becomes a virgin who is not a virgin anymore cause her hymenium is brken..and this is highly illogical and ridiculous!!

the only way you can prove they are not a virgin is if they actually take the pap. only people who engage in sexual activity need to take one....virgins dont need vaginal maintenance.....you can break ya hymen while riding a bike or a horse....so unless there is something seriously wrong in there a virgin doesnt need a pap..there by they are not a virgin if they are getting one......

when the hymen is broken then you aren't a virgin but sometimes it's hard to tell because someone could still be a virgin but their hymen is broken because of something weird. lol it is really weird when that happens

HPV is an STD, and you'd be able to get it despite in case you dont have intercourse. there is now the HPV vaccine (Guardasil) which you would be able to get i think while you're between like 14-26. once you're nonetheless aggravating approximately cervical maximum cancers, only confirm you circulate to the gyno each year to be examined.
