if i have 512mb memory, 128mb video card (PCI) and has 128mb video shared memory, will my video memory increase to 256mb??? is it possible?

I think the pervious responders misunderstood your question.

You are saying, is You have 512mb of system memmory and 128 mb of on board (not shared) Video card memory. Your video card can aslo support shared video memmory.

If I understand your question correctly the answer is yes

it would give you 256 of video memmory, however the system memmory won't provide as good of performance for your video card as it's on board memmory. Also this would leave you system with only 384 usable system memmory, if you are using windows Xp and are trying to do anything taxing on your system you will experince slughisness from the lack of system memmory.

No. It will have 128 MB only. The PCI card memory is actually the shared memory only.

No the shared is subtracted from RAM . It is sharing 128 and has no larger capacity.
