My mother always told me... "A coward dies a thousand deaths, a hero dies but one."

Think about it. A person in fear suffers much more than a brave person. It has helped me in many situations.

Fear is never conquered, just ignored. The only way that fear can have power over you is if you let it. I know that some of the things that I was most scared of turned out to be the best for me. It is important to remember to always try something once and if it is not for you then don't do it again. Just remember to never do anything that you think is stupid, because it probably is. Remember take control back.
The only thing wehave to fear is fear itself.

One can conquer their fears by simply facing it and asking themselves the question 'Why am I/What makes me afraid of this?' In some cases having someone with you may help (for example conquering the fear of love) but in other cases, one must conquer their fears on their own (like the fear of heights or spiders).

From my own experience, however corney this may sound, I found that believing my inner strength is what helped me conquer my fear of being enclosed in small spaces. But the best way is to find that inner strength to prove to yourself that you are stronger than your fear, and that you can conquer it...However scary it may seem.

I don't want to conquer a healthy fear that might keep me out of harms way. example : I won't use drugs , unless it's to heal not recreational, the fear of it killing me. Now a fear that I can, and would be able to conquer, are those that could be based on ignorance, or insecurity.

Facing fear can sometimes be very difficult. The anticipation of a negative outcome is what gives power to fear. Courage is the destroyer of fear. To have courage is to stand and face whatever obstacles are in front of you. We conquer fear by first letting go of all doubt and then moving forward toward our objective, knowing that whatever happens is OK.

Submersing yourself in your fear is my best way to get rid of my fear. If your afraid of heights, go on thge sears tower in chicago. If your afraid of bugs, take a walk in the woods. If your afraid of people, go into public and speak out (and get attacked by people who disagree)
