They reccomend that you wait 3 months before trying again after a miscarriage due to the hormones, healing, etc etc. Your body is healing much like it would after a live birth, of course the extent of the healing is up to how far along you were. Very early on and your body will often treat it like a normal period (What can be commonly called a Chemical pregnancy - a positive result but period almost right when you should've gotten it.)

Further along and you will take longer to heal - and take the normal 6 weeks for the hormones to fully scale down. In most cases the hormone is very quickly gone from your system as the baby is gone from your body fully and the hormones ramp down rapidly.

It will take some time for your periods to get back to normal if you were more than just a couple weeks after conceiving. (2-3 months+)

After a miscarriage sometimes it takes a few weeks for your period. Just like after pregnancy and delivery. If you haven't gotten your period after 6 weeks then you should see your ob/gyn. If you do take a test your body may still have some of that hormone in it that would give a false positive.

I would go to the doc and let them take a blood test, that is the only accurate way after miscarriage as the hormone levels are still iffy.

As was told to me, your period should show up around your regular cycle time. If you were to take a pregnancy test today, it would show up positive because your HCG level is still high. Give it another week or so and then contact your doctor and he or she can check or give you something to bring your period on if your not pregnant.
