Hi. Let me preface this by stating that I'm not a doctor, and you should follow your physician's advice over anything stated by a stranger...but here are some common sense things to consider.
For starters, 2 months isn't all that long after a serious accident...I'd give it a bit more time. You likely have some soft tissue damage that's still healing. If the shoulder pain still persists after a couple more months then perhaps the whiplash caused you to pinch a nerve somehow that's causing the problem. It's also OK to get a second opinion; perhaps something was overlooked in the first set of films. They might also consider an MRI of the shoulder; this can reveal things that X-Rays can't.
Assuming that your doctors can't figure it out, you might want to see a chiropractor to see if your spine needs alignment...it probably does after a crash like that. A readjustment could take the pressure off the pinched nerve and reduce if not eliminate the problem. These guys could do you some good; however, I'd still give it some time to heal and see if there's any improvement first.
"Aspercreme" is a good Ben-Gay like substance that doesn't stink and might help alleviate the pain somewhat...if it seems to help, then I'm thinking you just need more healing time; if it doesn't, I'd consider the "pinched nerve" theory and see a chiropractor.
Hope this info helped a little. Good Luck.

Go to a doctor and get a prescription for an MRI. See an upper extremity specialist in orthopaedic surgery. You could have post-traumatic arthritis, though it is too soon for that. What si mroe likely is a bankart lesion/hill-sachs defect which would be due to your shoulder popping out of the socket and getting slammed back into place. You could also have soft-tissue damage, so an MRI would be far more conclusive than the X-Ray alone.

Wow. I had the exact same thing happen to me. Rolled my car 3 months ago. Walked away, but my shoulder hurt like hell. I think it was from the seat belt harness and hanging upside down. I was still in a lot of pain after two months, but I'm in my third month and the pain is finally easing up. Hang in there. It will get better.

Hi,
I work at a day spa with chiropractors and massage therapists. Many people have been to our business after car accidents because of persistent pain. Sometimes massage works alone and sometimes massage and chiorpractic work best together. Glad to hear you're ok!

You probably have a pulled muscle. Get an MRI ordered by your doc to see if it's a bone grinding the muscle. Not too bad, just painful

You may have recieved a hair line fracture. hair line fractures do not always show up the first time on an X-ray. You need to see a doctor.

Go to a physio in your area to have treatment done. Massage Therapy also would help. I would recommend you get it looked at and dealt with right away before long term affects set in.

Go to your doctor - you might have a torn rotar cuff or something. That will be painful for a long time.
