Something that means a lot to you personally - a symbol, animal, something that represents who you are and who you want to be. Definitely do NOT put someone's name anywhere on your body. Initials might be okay, but probably not those either.

Something with family significance, or any significance really. I think that's bit cooler than just picking some "flash" off of the wall in a tattoo shop. I have my family crest on my forearm, and I'm getting my mom's initials in old English entangled with a rose bush on my side.

Take it from me i know cuz i have 8 that tattoos, they are like anything,..you should choose ,its you who has to see them or explain then, because your the one that will always have it /them,, so i would strongly suggest you go to the tattooist and look through the books, if your going to get one youll know.... when you see it,.... look in mags or art books you can take a pictures of your own, but unless your going to get a temperary tattoo try to choose something youll, always like, and whatever you do NO NAMES lol youll regret it .....

I have 2 tats. main thing is to never put someone elses name on you but maybe your kids or yours. I have a tat with my 2 lil girls names on it. It is a cross. The other tat is a triabal band. Which kinda hirt a lil when they went on the back side of my arm.

Make it something that means something to you. And something that will still mean something to you in the future. It totally depends on what is important to you. I think it is stupid to get a tat just because you want a tat. But that is just me.

Don't get one on your lower arms as in time you might regret like i did getting one, not nice to see if your going for a job interview.

a hammerhead shark along side of your right leg, it's supposed to be good luck for surfers but if you don't surf then it just looks really cool
