It's the only place to see them in their native, wild state, but both kangaroos and koalas are now quite common in most zoos around the world.
Kangaroos and wallabies have been released in a few areas, and can now be found running feral in parts of England, New Zealand, and apparently even in Florida.

Australia is the only place, outside of zoos, for
koalas. Wild kangaroos of the tree kangaroo type
are also found in New Guinea and perhaps some
of the islands near New Guinea and Australia.
