To the guy above me: That's not intersting...You can bend light in a glass of water. Big deal. The real catcher is that black holes can allegedly attract light so that it can never escape. If they really do have this much gravity, then they are the beginning of the end for the universe. One black hole will attract another, and eventually their gravity will keep increasing and sucking in galaxies, and a few hundred trillion years from now, the universe will return to the state of singularity, and will explode once again in another BIG BANG, creating "a new Heaven and a new Earth".

I think a safe alternative would be to use anti-bacterial soap. Then the hot water is only good for rinsing the soap off much easier.

It is probably safer to brush your teeth with toilet water than it is to drink water with ice from the ice machines in drive through windows. They are rarely cleaned properly and the result is a horde of fecal coloforms. Much more, in fact, than what grows in freshly flushed, recently used toilet water.

Tap water may be filtered and the bacteria dead, but it still contains a certain endotoxin given off by E. coli and other nasty bacteria. It is a harmless amount for you to digest, but if you were to get enough in your system by rinsing a bad burn or cut, you could develop a serious reaction, just as if you had ingested that particular bacteria. Only distilled water(water boiled, kept as steam for a certain amount of time, then condensed) is free of these endotoxins.
