If you have no work experience, why are you unwilling to be a cashier? I don't understand. If you are seriously looking for a job, you will do anything to get your foot in the door. Then you can try to impress people with you computer skills, but you have to get hired first. There is nothing wrong with being a cashier, flipping burgers, mopping floors, you have to start at the bottom.

No to Welfare. I agree, wait tables and then become a bartender. The money is good and you meet a lot of fun people. I would find a decent restaurant in the area and somewhere slightly laid back to start off. Learn the trade, learn how to be a good server who can reccommend and sell items on the menu and then possibly go to a more upscale restaurant where you can really make some doe. Take pride in knowing the menu and specials, make recommendations to people, don't just take orders!!!!!

Sometimes we have to work at different jobs which are not exciting or do not seem meaningful just to gain a little experience and show that we can handle a job. Any legitimate work will do until the real interest comes along.

Send out resumes and keep an eagle eye on the classifieds. If you're going to be picky you have to keep putting yourself out there until someone is willing to take a chance on you.
