Band of Brothers was excellent, but since it's a series I'm not sure if that qualifies here. A few good movies include: A Bridge To Far, The Longest Day, Battleground, The Crossing, The Young Lions, Paths To Glory. All I can think of right now.

1) Band of Brothers - beautifully done by HBO
2) Sands of Iwo Jima - John Wayne. 'Nuff Said.
3) Dirty Dozen - Lee Marvin. Charles Bronsen. Great Ensamble, all in all.
4) Bridge on the River Kwai - A great movie
5) Staleg 17 - Prisoners trying to escape. Funny and moving, at the same time.

I could go on and on (Patton, D-Day, Midway, The Great Escape...and these are just WW2 movies....) But, I won't. Those were just the first 5 I thought of.

Alexander( about Alexander the Great's life), Lord of the Rings(LOTR all the way, Tolkien rules), Cleopatra( the old one w/Elizabeth Taylor) and Star Wars( It's futuristic but still a 'war' movie; hence the title!)!

I've never been a fan of war movies, but Three Kings is one I actually enjoyed. If you haven't seen it already, I suggest you go out and watch it. RIGHT NOW!
