Selfishness and the imbalance of today's world blow me away. I can't believe it when I hear how much money some dumb celebrity (like Oprah, or Jennifer Lopez, or Donald Trump) makes per second, and then I see the suffering of other people. I know celebrities donate money to charity and that kind of stuff, but do they really think that's enough? When I hear that Jennifer Lopez spends $300 on 8oz. of lotion, it just makes me sick! Is that necessary? Couldn't that money go to help some poor, suffering, starving kid eat for the next month? I admit, I live a comfortable life, but, I'm sorry, if I had as much money as some people, I would be doing all that I could to make a difference in someone's life.

An educated man (a friend of my fathers) took his deaf son to a TV faith healer about 25 years ago after seeing people get "healed" on television. There should be a special place in hell.

These days not a dang thing induces me to that. I've almost become immune to being shocked by anything anyone does. As far as I'm concerned that's a phrase of a time gone by, like before I was born.

to find out that someone likes me for me.
it sounds trite, but I find so many people will fake a friendship in the hopes of gaining something. either a short term sale, or other. when someone actually thinks I'm a cool sort of person, and never mind my flaws, I'm totally taken aback!
