On the Sopranos? Well, I can't remember exactly, and I don't really watch the show, but I think it was due to her ratting to the feds. She told her fiance of her talks with the Feds. Big mistake, as he is the nephew (?) of Tony Soprano, who was infuriated by the news. He then had an associate take her into the woods, where she was whacked. Hope this helps.

Adriana La Cerva, the long-time girlfriend of Christopher Moltisanti, got whacked because she was being pressued by the FBI to give them information on Tony Soprano.
Adriana, after being followed and questioned by the FBI for over a year, confessed to Christopher that she had been talking to federal agents.
She confessed to Christopher in hopes that he would join her in the Witness Relocation Program where they could receive new identities and start new lives together outside of "the life" of New Jersey.
Christopher - not wanting to leave and fearing that no matter what they did, they would wind up dead - went to Tony Soprano and informed him of everything that Adriana had told him.
Tony arranged for Silvio Dante to pick up Adriana under the pretense that Christopher had attempted to commit suicide and was admitted into a hospital. While on the way to what Adriana thinks is a hospital, Silvio takes a "detour" into a wooded area where Adriana is executed while trying to escape.
Now, the "real" reason that Adriana was written out of the script is because she was offered a job on the TV Series "Joey" with Matt LeBlanc where she is to play Joey's sister on the show, and since "Joey" is filmed in Los Angeles and "The Sopranos" is filmed in the New York/New Jersey area it would be next to impossible for Drea De Mateo to appear in both series at the same time.

The FBI set her up. They had a girl pretend to be her friend but she was an agent. Then they found out she had drugs at her club. So they made her give them info about her boyfriend and the other mob guys.
Later she helped cover up a murder at her club that had nothing to do with her or her mob friends. She got caught and they convinced her to convince her boyfriend christopher to go into the witness protection program and testify against Tony.
Christopher had second thoughts and told Tony. Tony called Silvio and he took her out to the woods and whacked her.

Yeah! Tell me about it! Christopher didn't want to take the chance/risk in getting pinned to anything, plus his "loyalty" to Tony. I wish Christopher would've gotten whacked instead of "Ad". Now I'm watching episodes eager and hoping he gets his soon enough.
Favorite episode yet...The Test Dream-season 5.
