I have rust already on top and sides of my bumper, this truck is only 4months old, tried to get it fixed under 3/36 bumper to bumper warranty, dodge does not want to fix it. I see it's all about money with these big corporations, customer service is no longer important I guess, give them 36000 bucks and they say, to hell with you. Chrysler, kenny Lay, all the same I guess, white collar thiefs, all of them!!! Why can they get away with it and we have no course action to defend? I'm sick of the rich and powerful.

I would have to guess that you are referring to a ram without the sport package, and it is the chrome bumpers that are rusting. If there is no damage evident, I would bring it to the dealer and start complaining. Nothing should rust after four months, it may have been damaged on the dealers lot before you bought it. When i say bring it to the dealer: try service first, if they don't help, go right to the salesman and then his manager, it's only 4 months, i think they'll do the right thing.

What kind of dodge truck are you talking about, they all have resin covers on the bumper, which dont rust. I think you need to get your story straight before the company sues you for defamation.

I have a 2004 Ford that had the same problem. I took it back to the dealer and they replaced the bumper for me without a problem. You might want to take it back to the dealer and try to talk to a different person. Just keep your cool and they should work with you.

I agree with your diatribe, but you can put some of that stuff that turns rust black on your bumper - the one I use is called RT-8A, item # 81775, Permatext Rust Treatment, I think it has phosphoric acid in it, I've used it for years.
